METERING HOPPER - ACCURATE WEIGHING AND METERING OF MIXTURE COMPONENTS

We offer metering hoppers for batch weighing and metering of granular and fluid materials in the mixing units.

The hoppers are mounted in lines above the mixer. Metering is performed in accord with specified batches. Upon reaching of prescribed value of weight, control system issue the command to switch actuators of feeding devices off. Batch weigher is equipped with electro-pneumatic gate valve.

TECHNOLOGY

The hopper is intended for delivery of weighed doses of granular products, such as powdered products (cement, starch, flour, dried milk), fine components, fittings etc., and liquids. The metering hopper consists of the frame and weighing tank, electronic measuring and control unit, and control panel located on it. The hopper can be used alone, or as built in various flow lines and automatic lines, or it can operate as a single set with supply bin filling units and devices for sealing of packages.

OPERATIONS

Measurement of weight in the hopper, monitoring of filling/ unloading process, control of accrued total of material passing through the hopper.

STRUCTURE

The weigher includes the set of intake units with strain gages, weight indicator, connection boxes, cable.

FUNCTIONS

Measurement of "gross" and "net" weight of the hopper, accumulation of weighing results with listing of protocol and delivery notes in the automatic control system of goods' traffic.

DESCRIPTION

Weigher determines the hopper weight by measuring the signal from strain gages, installed under or on the bins. Special intake units ensure correct transfer of force, eliminate the effect of lateral forces, and protect from impacts and vibrations.

With the use of actuators (gates, feeders, augers) and drives, electronic unit of the weigher controls loading/unloading of the hopper, ensuring specified dose and consumption of material. Weigher can operate in manual / automatic mode, and remotely from computer. In this latter case, basic or customized software support shall be provided.

We produce all hoppers on our own, and complete them, by the Customer request, with strain gages of German or Chinese origin, as well as pneumatics made in Italy.

Panels for component dosing and control are made in accord with technical specifications agreed with the Customer, with an opportunity of data output and storage in computer database (complete recording of materials' consumption).

Period of metering hopper delivery is from 2 weeks to 1 month.
